Jeremie Johnson, the former Wild Ridge pro, shot a two-under par 69 to win the Chippewa Valley Golf Association's Chippewa Valley Open Sunday in Menomonie.

Johnson bested Sheldon Haedtke of Winona, who won last week's CVGA event in Osseo, and Matt Garber of Hudson by one shot.

Troy Shea of Menomonie, who won the Chippewa Valley Open last year, shot three-over par 74 to finish in a 10-way tie for fourth place with Matt Wahl of Eau Claire, Derek Hilmershausen of Merrill, Brad Johnson of Burnsville, Minn., Ryan Schullo of Spooner, Eric Rolland of Rogers, Minn., Andrew Seidler of Mosinee, his brother Scott Seidler of Argonne, Keith Piotrowski of Maplewood, Minn. and Brian Tarnowski of Champlin, Minn.

Mark Sperling of Lakeville, Minn. shot 77 to finish in a 10-way tie for 17^th place. In doing so, he earned seven CVGA points, pulling within 24 points of Neil Johnson of River Falls for first place in the CVGA's season-long points race.

The CVGA tour hits Black River Falls this Sunday for the BRF Open at Skyline Golf Club.
