Brandon Sperling Wins 2023 CVGA Hallie Open!

 

Concordia University Standout Brandon Sperling of Lakeville, MN won this years CVGA Hallie Open by shooting a -5 under par 65. Brandon is the son of CVGA Hall of Famer Mark Sperling.  This is Brandon’s first CVGA win and he also widened his lead in the CVGA Player of the Year standings.  Congrats Young Man!! Finishing 2nd was Bill Peterson of Altoona shooting a -2 under par 68.  Great Round Billy!!  3rd Place went to CVGA Hall of Famer Leif Carlson who shot 69.  Tied for 4th were Eric Anderson and last week’s runner-up at Lake Wissota, Andrew Bauer who both shot even par 70’s. 46 golfers played and despite the rain the night before, the course was in excellent condition.   A big thank you goes out to Troy Timm who did a great job administrating both the Open and the Senior tournaments.  The next stop on the CVGA Tour is the Turtleback Open in Rice Lake, WI on Sunday, Aug. 13th.  For a tee time call 1-888-300-9443.  See you then!
