Senior Rules

Eleven tournaments will be held in addition to the Tournament of Champions with age flights as follows: [50-57] [58-64]   [65-and up]  [Two Net Divisions->  Division 1-handicaps7-14, Division 2-handicaps 15-22, Division 3-handicaps 23 and up]

A player’s age bracket will be determined by his age as of May 1st or when he turns 50 during the season.

The following rules will apply for the new net handicap division:
1. You must have a handicap of 7 or over to enter.
2.  You must have a USGA handicap card or a league handicap signed by your club pro, owner, or handicap chairman.
 

Points will be awarded as 6-4-3-2-1.  Points cannot be moved from one flight to another.

The entry fee will be $36.00 for each 18 hole tournament with the following breakdown:
Green Fees - $17.00
Prize Money - $15.00
CVGA - $4.00

A player must play in a minimum of 2 tournaments and get at least 1 point  or play in 3 tournaments and score no points to play in the CVGA Senior Open Championship.

The Senior Tournament of Champions entry fee is $50.00 which includes the meal served during the awards ceremony.  There will be awards to the top winners in each age group.

All scores will be recorded into the CVGA handicap system, combined with flite scores and/or scores from the age groups, as people may want to go from one group to the other. Net division will be determined by:CVGA tournament history of 4 or more scores OR if less than four scores in CVGA, the lower handicap between USGA/club attested handicap or those CVGA scores will be used.
