Fame Banquet July 31

A player’s age bracket
will be determined by his age as of May 1st or when he turns 50 during
the season.
The following rules
will apply for the new net
handicap division:
1. You must have a handicap of 7 or over to
enter.
2. CVGA handicaps will be used. If
you haven't established one as yet, a current
USGA handicap card will be allowed until your
CVGA handicap is determined.
Handicap: Your gross
score, after computing the Equitable Stroke
Control (ESC) will be entered to determine your
handicap. Handicaps will be available at every
tournament for review and upon request of the
Flight Chairman. The CVGA Tournaments are played
as handicapped stroke tournaments divided into 5
flights according to individual handicap
determined by utilizing the 10 best of the last
20 scores, based on the rating of the course
being played, and 96% of the differential of the
scores used. The CVGA Tournament will operate
under the USGA rules of golf.
All flight tournaments
will be played winter rules. (Tournament
directors will determine the playing conditions
of the course and allow preferred lies or lift
clean and place as conditions dictate.) Winter
rules will be from tee through greens in your
own fairway only.
All tournament divisions
will be played from either the white tees
(Mid-Range) for Men and Red (Forward) Tees for
Women. Handicaps will be based on the tees
rating for these teeing selections.
All scores will
be recorded into the CVGA handicap system,
combined with flite scores and/or scores from
the age groups, as people may want to go from
one group to the other. Net division will be
determined by: the CVGA tournament history of 4
or more scores OR if less than four scores in
CVGA, the lower handicap between USGA/club
attested handicap or those CVGA scores will be
used.
Points will be awarded
as 6-4-3-2-1. Points cannot be moved from
one flight to another.
The entry fee will be
$39.00 (with the exception of Wild Ridge,
$50.00) for each 18 hole tournament with the
following breakdown:
Green Fees - $18.00
Prize Money - $15.00
CVGA - $6.00
