Chetek native and Eau Claire
resident, Jacob Gaines won his first CVGA
Tournament at St. Croix National golf course in
Somerset, WI shooting a -2 par 70.
The numbers weren’t high in terms of
players, but the talent was every  bit as good as
usual. Matt Tolan, of Eau Claire, overcame
a slow start to finish alone in 2nd place
at 73. Ryan Isaacson and Mark Chioniere
continued to battle for Player of the Year
Honors as they tied for 3rd with
74’s. The greens, fairways, and tee boxes
were absolutely perfect. The next stop on
the CVGA Tour will be Sunday, August 20th at
that northern gem, Turtleback in Rice Lake. To book your tee time
