Kelly Kretz Wins 2023 CVGA Lake Wissota Open

Antigo Native and Marquette University Alum Kelly Kretz won this year’s CVGA 2023 Lake Wissota Open. The current Altoona Resident beat Chippewa Falls Cardinal and future UW-Stout player Andrew Bauer by sinking an 8 foot birdie putt on the first sudden death playoff hole at Lake Wissota.  By winning, Kelly has qualified for the CVGA Hall of Fame. Congrats Kelly! Both players shot sizzling 66’s on a beautiful sunny day at Lake Wissota. Finishing alone at 3rd place was 2022 Player of the Year Josh Malnory who fired a 68.  4th Place went to Spensor Scholl and former State Amateur Champion Travis Meyer who both shot 70.  67 players participated and the greens were on fire and challenging.  The next stop on the CVGA Tour is at Hallie Golf Course next Saturday the 29th. To make a tee time call 715-861-5442.  See you all at Hallie!
